Warehouse Associate

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES of a Warehouse Associate:

  • Verifying quantity of product, pull and pack product according to established procedures
  • Understanding the bin system of inventory to pull product and prepare for shipment
  • Assist in verifying the correct product is being shipped to the customer
  • Completed/picked order to be packed & shipped
  • Receive inbound packages, Check documentation of package content, Document and communicate any miscounts
  • Operate power material handling equipment
  • Moving pallets by hand, hand truck, electric pallet jack, or manual pallet jack.
  • Shrink wrapping goods for loading onto trailers
  • Ensuring that the correct labels are on all packages
  • Routinely cleaning all warehouse areas and containers
  • Load and unload trucks from ground level or platforms
  • Assist in cycle count inventories as directed
  • Use computer equipment
  • Stocking incoming orders
  • Organizing stock in the warehouse.

Cable Assembler
Job Description: Cable Assembler
The CSHOP Cable Assembler specializes in high volume, fast termination processes for basic Audio and Video cable termination. Employees are required to reference the list of jobs to complete for customer orders and stock replenishment. The Hit List contains each assembly job assignment with quantities, part numbers and work order numbers. Each employee is provided formal work order assignments with an associated Bill of Material for the job at hand. Employees are expected to kit the cable, connectors, or components in accordance with the B.O.M. Component are picked according to bin locations, part numbers and quantities.
Tower provides employees with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment for the processing of coaxial cable, hand tools, equipment, and assembly procedures. Cable assembly requires each assembler to inspect and test their work according to quality system requirements. Completed work is turned into Quality Control Dept. with accompanying paperwork. Work is expected to be accurately assembled to the correct standard, soldered, or crimped properly and signed off on the hit list with time and date.

This position consists of basic cable assembly and manufacturing. Cable assemblers should have prior experience in soldering or hand tool assembly work. This position can be filled with on the job training for the right candidate. It’s required to learn manufacturing systems used for inventory picking, work order material bills, inspection and testing procedures, basic soldering procedures, crimping procedures, various procedures for tubing materials and cable processing. Employees must reference assigned jobs from the hit list. Locate the corresponding work order job using the work order number and assembly part number. Pull all components listed in the product material bill according to the bin location, part number and quantity. Employees should be able to lift up to 75lbs, employees are instructed regarding safe lifting practices. Employees are required to seek help when lifting anything that is too heavy regardless of the weight or size. Employees must be safety conscience and we request that all manufacturing employees wear eye protection and wash hands when shifts are completed.

Key responsibilities include creating high quality products in a timely manner. Assemblers are required to take ownership of their work and provide mechanical inspection and basic continuity testing before submitting work for final test and approval. Employees are required to demonstrate knowledge and experience in detail-oriented jobs, accuracy with numbers and part numbers. Communicate effectively with team leader to continuously establish and improve quality on the assembly line.
Employees are required to maintain a clean and organized workstation and adhere to all guidelines for PPE, tool use, etc. This position requires the individual to consistently demonstrate excellent organizational skills, ability to access information from the computer system, attention to detail, good with numbers, excellent oral and written communication, and the ability to efficiently manage time.

This job requires the ability to communicate effectively, take pride in your work, and seek Engineering Management assistance if required. The Ulster County Department of the Environment

The Ulster County Department of the Environment is seeking qualified application to fill a summer Youth Worker position. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on supporting the County’s Bring Your Own Bag Act. On July 15th, single use plastic bags will be banned in Ulster County and the Department is currently engaged in education and outreach around this initiative.
